Senior Cloud Engineer
Legacy Tech is looking for a talented senior cloud engineer.
Engineer wanted to join a client platform team supporting a U.S Government dashboard team. Candidate will be part of a team supporting 5+ environments ranging from developer sandboxes all the way to production. An ideal candidate will be passionate about cloud, DevOps, automation, and software development. Candidate will be a part of an integral team responsible for delivering mission critical cloud services to the federal government. Candidate will work with many teams to pursue industry best practice and seek to collaborate with many stakeholders. Work location is in Fairfax, VA, with an option to work remotely. An ideal candidate will always seek to deliver work as code in a repeatable manner, having a desire to lead and will have prior experience with modern DevOps technologies to provide high quality technical support and leadership for transformational efforts and teams.

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience that includes an in depth knowledge of the following:

Linux Cloud infrastructure in AWS

Azure Configuration management experience using the following dev tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet Git, CI/CD, and other development tools

Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Experience with supporting containerized services in production

Experience leading project technical delivery efforts

Advanced cloud architecture skills in one or more clouds

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Proven success in supporting a broad array of cloud services, experience delivering technical excellence in the federal space

Experience with supporting the Elastic Stack in production Familiarity with managing the Atlassian suite of ALM tools

Strong understanding of DevOps processes, methodologies, and philosophies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with both AWS and Azure Cloud Environments

Experience with containerization and microservice architectures

Relevant professional level cloud or DevOps certifications
